Irish Blogger Agency Showcase Event in Cork

Clayton Hotel Silver Springs’ fully refurbished new Meetings Event Centre just launched this month and it was the perfect venue for Irish Blogger Agency showcase event which took place on the 20th November 2016. 

A beautiful reception awaited everyone thanks to our sponsors Clayton Hotel Silver Springs and Issie's Handmade Chocolate.    The gourmet, handmade chocolate are Issie's speciality and they complimented the tea and coffee reception perfectly.  Each guest was greeted with a warm and friendly smile by Irish Blogger Agency team members Maura & Elaine. 

A relaxed atmosphere was created as everyone started to mingle and take photos. Attending events like this is a super way to meet people you have only ever connected with on online.  It's always a great experience to get the opportunity to meet face to face and its fantastic how many friendships are made for life.   

The event was hosted by Sinéad Carroll, Founder & CEO of Irish Blogger Agency and with a line up of fantastic guest speakers including Derek O'Kelly, Education Manager & Director of The Waverley Academy, Award Winning Blogger and author The Galway Player and Beauty & Fashion Blogger Kate Kelly of Pure Irish Sugar and Where to next darling? the afternoon was both fun and educational.  And a big thank you to Olivia Danielle and Blank Canvas Cosmetics for the gifts worth €100 for each guest attending the event. 

Irish Blogger Agency's mission is to help brands and influencers join together to create a winning formula in the Digital Age and its fantastic to see so many brands already collaborating with Irish Blogger Agency and its members.  Exciting times ahead with brands already on board including Blank Canvas Cosmetics, David McConville Orthodontics, Olivia Danielle, Suzie Mahony Designs, Sundial Watches & The Waverley Academy.  

Opening the event with a brief introduction to his background and how he got to where he is today, Roger Tiger Burrows joins Irish Blogger Agency Power Team from the UK.

Roger's mission is to motivate, inspire and uplift and will he be delivering Empower The People workshops and offering 1-2-1 mentoring as part of Irish Blogger Agency Academy. 

Roger started with an ice-breaker  that allowed everyone the opportunity to consider where they want to be as part of 'The Stretch Zone' exercise...Roger's techniques and questions had everyone looking outside their comfort zone to where the magic happens.  It was a great way to start the day and added a fun element to the afternoon.  

Telling us how writing changed the game, Derek O'Kelly, Manager & Education Director of The Waverley Academy and author of 3 best selling books, shared his success journey with us and even caused goosebumps!!!   Derek also shared his key lessons learnt 1) The Power of Writing 2) Imagination 3) Education Empowers 4) Together is Better.  Derek and The Waverley Academy are looking forward to working with Irish Blogger Agency in 2017, so lots of opportunities for collaborations are in the pipeline. 

Joanne Sweeney-Burke is CEO at Digital Training Institute,  a regular guest speaker at #SMSmmitIRL #SMILECon #TEDxOmagh #DigCitSummitUS, long-life learner with 11 academic and professional qualifications including Masters in Journalism, Masters in Digital Marketing, author of Social Media Under Investigation, Law Enforcement and The Social Web, Digital Influencer as featured on Social Media Examiner, Go Animate, Big Marker and Podcaster at JSB Talks Digital.   With so much knowledge and experience to offer, Irish Blogger Agency is honoured to have Joanne join The Power Team delivering a number of workshops including Blogging For Business, Online PR Strategy and Intermediary Social Media Marketing

With an impressive twitter following, The Galway Player shared why he believes Twitter is a lot like online dating.  Thanks to Twitter The Galway Player has secured a national radio slot, Galway Now Column, written a book, appeared on National TV, named in Top 100 digital influencers in Ireland and has landed a job he loves in Digital Marketing.  Adding the fun element to the afternoon the Galway Players whitty and charming personality had everyone in stitches all while providing some top tips on how to use twitter for business.

With knowledge and expertise spanning over 15 years Suzie Mahony of Suzie Mahony Designs and Creative Intelligence is no stranger to juggling business and family commitments and will be delivering Image and Time Management Workshops as part of Irish Blogger Agency Academy. 

Suzie will also be offering Mentoring and Coaching Services that will help you brainstorm, problem solve, plan and develop an action plan and work together to maximise your plan.

 

Its always a pleasure having Award Winning Blogger Kate Kelly join Irish Blogger Agency.  Kate is very passionate about her blogs Pure Irish Sugar and Where to next darlin? and has build up an ever growing audience across her social media platforms. With her fun loving and warm personality Kate is admired and loved by so many other bloggers.  Kate has personally benefited from being a member of Irish Blogger Agency through a recent campaign featured on her blog Pure Irish Sugar and shared her experience on the day.  

Closing out the afternoon a number of attendees/bloggers took to the podium to share their story. Hearing from other bloggers about their journey and what their aspirations and goals are is very uplifting and motivational and lots of lessons are learnt as experiences are shared and advice is freely given.  Well done to Melissa from Lipstick & Louboutins, Orla from Daly Fashion Fix, Flo Saulnier from One Hour Behind, Clóda Scanlon from Orange Obviously, Marie Barry-Murphy from The Beauty Mum and Donna McLoughlin from DEMC Food Services
