Carroll has turned a gap in the market for linking ad agencies with social influences into a new business. The past year has seen a rise in the number of Irish digital influencers declaring that individual posts have been paid for.

This means two things: first, that bloggers are starting to pay heed to the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland code of conduct, and secondly, that more companies are working with bloggers to promote their brands.
