Hook & Ladder “Living Café” offer’s customers a unique experience with a variety of store concepts under one roof – café, cookery school, furniture and home accessories store. Customers can relish the delicious café offerings, enhance their culinary skills in the Cookery School, buy locally sourced produce from the artisan display, or purchase a distinctive and inspiring range of occasional furniture and accessories. Hook & Ladder are continuously striving to create and provide the ultimate customer experience by constantly evolving and introducing a ‘third place’ for their customers.
The first Hook & Ladder opened on the Tramore Road in Waterford in 2013; following the success of Waterford in May 2014 the “Flagship” Hook & Ladder arrived to Sarsfield Street in Limerick City, following this in 2015, two more premises in Corbally and Castletroy, Limerick, opened and joined the Hook & Ladder family.
Hook & Ladder is proud to now have over 80 people employed with the business, and is committed to supporting local producers and suppliers.
Café
Hook & Ladder provides an excellent artisan food service for all taste buds, catering for breakfast through to evening meals. They offer a scrumptious section of home baked cakes from our in store bakery, as well as a wide selection of premium coffees, speciality teas and assortment of fine wines. In addition there is unrestricted Wi-Fi, books and daily newspapers available to customers. At Hook & Ladder they are dedicated to sourcing the very best of Irish produce and are committed to supporting local suppliers.

Home Accessories
Hook & Ladder believe your home is your castle. Our motivation is to source affordable, high quality furniture and home accessories that will inspire and enhance your personal living space. Our extensive range includes kitchen accessories, occasional furniture, soft furnishings, vintage pieces, seasonal accessories, gifts, mirrors, lamps and much more. In addition to this, all the café fittings, from cutlery and crockery, to tables and chairs are available to purchase, all with the help of our expertly trained staff.
Cookery School
Hook & Ladder Cookery School offers a wide range of classes and courses especially designed to cater for all levels and abilities, so whether you’re a complete beginner or an accomplished cook there will be a course for you.
The Cookery School is fully equipped with 12 work stations, which allows for a more personalised learning experience. The team of enthusiastic and friendly Chefs will ensure you gain the confidence, knowledge and techniques needed to improve your culinary skills, all within a warm and fun filled environment.
